Robert Long, III
A native of Jackson, Mississippi, Robert Lee Long, III, Curator of the DeSoto County Museum, is an award-winning journalist, author and playwright in addition to having served as the longtime editor of the DeSoto Times-Tribune newspaper for the past two decades and a career in journalism that spans 35 years. With undergraduate studies in Communication and History at Mississippi State University, Long is currently seeking a Masters in Divinity at Memphis Theological Seminary. Long, wife Laura and daughter Annie live in Hernando, Mississippi.
Brooke is the assistant to Mr. Long, as well as the social media manager and web designer. She uses her degree in history to good use, aiding Mr. Robert in his programs and helping around the museum to help it grow.

Pat and Charlotte have been volunteering for the museum since its founding. They have helped to build many of the exhibits you love! They received one of our 2018 Volunteers of the Year awards and continue to stand out with their dedication to our wonderful museum!
